What does "Potentially unprotected" mean?

Your device is not running on the latest iOS version. Please make sure that your device is running on iOS version 14.2.

Does SystemGuard protect against viruses?

No, SystemGuard doesn't protect your device against viruses, because by definition there aren't any viruses for iOS devices.

Will SystemGuard compromise my device's security?

No, SystemGuard merely detects if certain parts of your device's security are compromised and notifies you about them.

How does SystemGuard help/protect my device from security leaks?

SystemGuard will tell you exactly what kind of issue may be compromising your device's security.

Error: Unable to determine the latest iOS version.

If you encounter this error, SystemGuard was unable to determine the latest iOS version for your device. This usually occurs if you device's network connection is unavailable or very slow (for example overloaded WiFi or being on an Edge connection).

Please try to check for the latest version again either later or from a different network connection. In rare cases it may also be server issues on our side.

I barely have free RAM. Why?

While your "free" amount of RAM may be quite low, in total you have to sum up both "free" and "inactive" RAM.
